Why KyereMe ?
Way-finding made easy for everyday users, vendors and tourists.
KyereMe is an application that connects vendors and customers through real-time data. Imagine navigating a heavily congested marketplace, holding your wallet close, with no idea where to find what you need to buy. As integral as marketplaces, commercial and non commercial, and bazaars are to our African culture, the difficulty and discomfort of navigating them can be frustrating. Instead of roaming aimlessly, you pull out KyereMe, type in any product or services, and you’re guided turn by turn to the Vendor of your choice.
More than 90 percent of people in Africa still do almost all their shopping at open-air markets, where the stalls are mostly dominated by women, each running a small business. Everything you can imagine at your fingertips - food, clothing, produce and more - but sometimes you just want to find one thing. Maybe a Scotch bonnet pepper, a key in several Ghanaian dishes.
Instead of roaming aimlessly, you pull out KyereMe, type in scotch bonnet peppers, and you’re guided turn by turn to the seller with the best prices closest to you.
Unlike the USA where urban planning makes destinations easy to locate and wayfinding is well aided with applications like Waze, Yelp and Google maps; Most Eastern countries don't have the infrastructure to support institutional navigation.
KyereMe aims to solve that problem by creating a wayfinding application that helps business owners easily geolocate themselves and direct buyers directly to them. In turn, helping promote their businesses and increase profitability.
